I remember copping this way back on the strength of Blame One's involvement with this group. And my decision has been proven a wise one, if only by the picture of the white dude, second to the right, clutching a 40. That pitcher is the type of shit I want to hear on wax.
And believe that Moderation, is a type ill cut, easily worth your time.

The Loyalists feat. Planet Asia-Compatible Opposites
I've really been getting into The Loyalists' Redemption as of late. There are some really spread out guest spots on that album. Louis Logic and Planet Asia aren't exactly two names that I think of in the same light.
That said, Compatible Opposites is some type ill shit with masterful production.

Everliven Sound-Original Rudeboys
Everliven Sound is Cymarshall Law and Skit Slam. These two crafted Freedom back in '08, which is where you can find Original Rudeboys. For whatever reason, I like the jawns that explore regional dialect. I'm pretty sure that 'rudeboy' is used in some part of British subculture. What, you never played Fifa Street?

Dr. Octagon-Real Raw
Kool Keith is a strange guy, but he produces some ill nonsensical rapp. For his Dr. Octagon project, he enlisted the help of Dan The Automator, and he crafted an left-brained opus. For real, if you can get into the eccentric Dr. Octagonecologyst, you'll be in for a treat. Think Deltron 3030 with even more incomprehensible rhymes.
Still Real Raw is some ill shit. You hear that production? You hear Keith Octagon using 'affect' in the proper context?

East Coast Avengers feat. Celph Titled & Statik Selektah-East Coast Overdose
East Coast Avengers is The Trademarc, DC The Midi Alien, and Esoteric. Together they released Prison Planet, which attempted to be the definitive answer to conservatism in the media (see Kill Bill O'Reilly).
When you temporarily ignore the Immortal Technique-esque aspect to the East Coast Avengers, you stumble upon right coast odes such as East Coast Overdose, which has one of the illest hooks of modern memory.

Cunninlynguists feat. Kory Calico-Mic Like A Memory
I posted this instrumental a long while back, and it looks like the higher forces had it taken down. Regardless, the Cunninlynguists are known for matching Kno's godly productions with mediocre rapps, however Mic Like A Memory is quite the exception.

Tanya Morgan-We Be
I can't really condone these sorts of rapps, but I suppose these boys ripped it in a light-hearted sort of way. Almost like some new-age De La type shit.

RJD2 and Jakki Da Motamouth-FHH (Fuck Hip-Hop)
Truth be told, I've never really listened to RJD2 in any capacity, mostly because of his Def Jux affiliation. Comic-core rapps tend to be too artsy for my unequivocal taste, resulting in habitual yawns in between beat breaks. Still, RJD2 was one of the iller Def Jukies back in the day.
This is off the highly-acclaimed Deadringer back from '02, and Jakki Da Motamouth (who sounds remarkably similar to Royce Da 5'9) graces this jawn with his presence.

Kan Kick feat. Dr. Oop-The Finer Things
Kan Kick is a different breed of producer. It was James from the now defunct Kicks, Rhymes, and Life who put me up on dukes, and I've been fuckin' with his beats ever since. On The Finer Things he provides an elite soundscape for Dr. Oop to drop gems. Mr. Oop slightly lacks the minerals, vitamins, niacin and what have you, but still delivers a solid performance.

Jazz Addixx: H.I.P. - H.O.P.
If I remember correctly, I found the Jazz Addixx' Oxygen Refreshed at Musical Schizophrenia. If you haven't visited there yet, get on it, tons of low-key and underground gems in various genres.
Oxygen Refreshed turned out to be one of the illest records I heard in 2009 (despite it being originally released in '07). H.I.P. - H.O.P. is a prime example of what to expect, shit that lifts you to a different mental elevation. Real talk, give this jawn a listen, you'll get lifted.

Dalek-Corrupt (Knuckle Up)
I tend not to stray this far away from 'traditional' hip hop. Not to say I don't give shine to Kool Keith or Dan The Automator, far from it, but Dälek is quite out there. MC Dälek is ill with the vocals, but the Oktopus provides a wide array of sounds not found in hip hop. After reading up on these dudes, one word that is mentioned quite often is industrial, an independent genre of rock that is unique all it's own.
Suffice it to say, Dälek's Abandoned Language isn't the safest acquisition for a typical head, but if you're willing to experience new sounds have at it. Corrupt is not very indicative of the album as a whole, but provides a lovely soundscape for MC Dälek to drop some visceral phrases.

Johnson & Jonson-Get High
In case you didn't know, Johnson & Jonson is Blu and Mainframe. Not as wack as C.R.A.C. Knuckles, yet definitely nowhere near the level of Below The Heavens.
Although Powders&Oils is a very 'experimental' album, there's also a few gems worth hearing. Get High is one of them, the heavenly instrumental is only a small part of this jawn's illness. Listen to Blu's lines, even through the awkward flows.

Little Brother feat. Joe Scudda-Lovin' It
Damn, is there anything like an soulful 9th instrumental and some smooth 'Tigallo and Pooh? For all those that discount 9th Wonder as an one of the best producers evar simply for his usage of Fruity Loops, is discounting the fact that he has an incredibly expansive knowledge of soul jawns, as well as the sampling chops of a Primo figure. Don't doubt my man. I mean, are you hearing this?

Mac Lethal-Take Me In My Sleep
Have you had enough of Mac Lethal yet? I hope not, 'cos there's an illin' Mac Lethal comp coming in the next few days.
The last track to spotlight the upcoming dopeness is a heartfelt jawn by Mac that covers the details of his mother's bout with cancer. And who said white Midwest kids couldn't relate to Dear Mama? I certainly didn't.

Blu-Vibrate
Have I previously mentioned that Dela is one of the most phlegm-provoking, stuffy nose causing, sore throat providing, ill producers? Well, this jawn is what happens when you get an insane producer and the new age Nasir Jones together.
I can't say the spacey vibes are my thing, but otherwise shit's immaculate.

El Da Sensei-Aight Then
There's a wide variety of dope '90's rappers that are prolonging their careers for unknown reasons. Cats like Del Tha Funkee, Rakim, Guru, among numerous others stay in the game years past their prime. The same could be said for El Da Sensei. Dude's work as half of The Artifacts was unforgettable, but his solo career is lackluster to say the least. However, he occasionally unleashes gems like Aight Then, which makes you eager to check for his new releases.

Mac Lethal-The M.A.D.
I'm dropping this jawn as a precursor to something much bigger, namely a Mac Lethal compilation that showcases a wide range of the man's ill linguistic skills. On The M.A.D. Mac's at his best (or worst) with the obscure rhymes and otherworldly metaphors, and for once he acquired production worthy of what he was saying.

Binary Star-Conquistadors
I posted Slang Blade a few months ago, and Conquistadors is off the same album; Masters Of The Universe. In somewhat-usual Binary Star style, the instrumental is minimalistic in hopes of letting the verbal skills of Senim Silla and One Be Lo shine. I can't tell which I fucks with more: Be Lo's smooth flow and silky rhymes or Silla's rapid fire delivery. Each has it's merits, I suppose.

John Robinson- Outside Perspective
It's about time I threw some John Robinson up, ehh? Luckily, Outside Perspective is equipped with the same ill JR rhymes, and an dope instrumental. That's the problem with John Robinson's music in my opinion, he's got the subject matter, flow, and rhymes to go on for days, but his ear for production is somewhat lackluster. Oftentimes, he'll go in over some pretty mediocre instrumentals. Not so here.

Common Market- Black Patch War
I've posted quite a few Blue Scholars jawns, so it only makes sense to throw some shine to Sabzi's other partner. Truth be told, I prefer Geologic over RA Scion, but both emcees have their merits.
Sab provides some grade-A production and RA spits some heat rocks that take some time to process. I won't ruin anything, but the symbolism and metaphors are worth listening to a few times.
